Even more new Instagram features being tested this week

Read time: under 6 minutes

Welcome back!

More new features being tested on Instagram already? This just doesn't end! Read this week's newsletter to find out what's being worked on.

Also, I got so many nice replies about this newsletter last week, so if you don't mind, send me an email back and let me know what you like about it! (or any tips for improvement!)

This week's news:

Instagram adds promo codes to ads

Instagram has launched a new feature allowing brands to include exclusive promo or coupon codes directly in their ads in order to encourage customers to take advantage of discounts. Take a look at the feature here.

Instagram testing 3 minute long Reels

It seems Reels are about to get even longer (which will hopefully mean some prioritization for longer videos on the platform) as IG is currently testing 3-minute long durations for them. Check it out here.

Instagram testing longer carousel posts too?!

Okay is every new Instagram feature related to content length?! Some users have also been noticing a test on their accounts allowing them to share up to 15 images in a single swipeable carousel post rather than the usual limit of 10. Check it out here.

Does quality or quantity matter more as a content creator?

If you've been wondering that, then don't worry because my podcast co-host VJ and I break it down and discuss our thoughts about it in our latest podcast episode, which you can listen to here: Spotify | Apple

BeReal is struggling to remain as an app

Remember BeReal? That social media app that blew up last year and then sort've disappeared? Well it's struggling to find funding as it's been labelled as a "feature" rather than a full social media "platform" itself. Read about its struggles here.

TikTok adds a new advanced search for Creators

The new Creator Search Insights tool will give creators up to date notices about the trending topics being searched for on TikTok. This could be useful for IG creators too as the trends often overlap! Read about it here.

Catch me on Adobe Live!

Back in February, I got to visit the Adobe office in San Francisco to record some amazing livestream sessions. Now you can catch the recap of what I created there in this quick and fun recap:

Now here's what you can post next week:

-Re-introduce your business. Let your followers know what you do, why you do it, and who you help.

-Turn some of the "Frequently Asked Questions" you get from your audience into a post.

-Share an infographic or statistic from your industry and ask your followers for their opinion (give credit to the source).

-Write a review or summary of a recent book, article, or podcast you consumed (give full credit to the creator)

-Post some highlights from a challenge you set for the month and ask your audience about their experience with challenges and goal setting.

Do you get value from this newsletter? I'd love for you to share it with your audience! They can sign up here.

You can also use that link if someone forwarded this email to you and you'd like to sign up officially.
